hi this is charles hoskinson broadcasting live from warm sunny colorado very sunny very colorado just a brief video update on a very small issue that seems to just be persistent many of that we've had ups and downs cardano myself others in our ecosystem with wikipedia and it seems the last year we were able to mostly resolve those issues cardano finally got a wikipedia page and some fans created page for me but there's a lingering small thing that just is bizarre to me apparently there's some questions about the intellectual property behind my picture that was used on my wikipedia page and i reached out to wikipedia and said well i own the ip for the picture we use it everywhere and i didn't want to just have a license i wanted to make sure i owned it someone took the picture i own the ip so we told them that and wikipedia decided not to believe me and now they've deleted my profile picture for my wikipedia page i don't exactly know how to prove the the ip zone i mean i don't even have the invoice paid cash for the pitcher and i don't have an email or anything like that so here's the thing all the profile pictures on my twitter page those ones i've taken myself with my own cell phone and i have are now officially releasing all of those under a creative commons license commercial non-commercial you guys can just use them they're all completely open sourced okay so this is my video to alert the broader world that my twitter profile picture if i've taken it myself the camel one i've taken the the falcon one i've taken many of these things i took them myself i own the ip for those and they are now released officially under a creative commons license you guys can use them any way you see fit now i suspect because of the bizarre and arcane processes of wikipedia this announcement will actually not be enough to prove it to them so at some point what we'll probably do is is some sort of ip ceremony where we take a picture of me and and we and the people taking the picture are done under under video and we put it on youtube or something like that just really prove the point that the the providence of the picture has been established or maybe we'll like create an nft do you associate with the picture or something like that but this does show you that old outdated systems and bureaucratic systems can be problematic from time to time but hopefully this video does the trick and does the job it's sad to see things get deleted especially under strange bureaucracy and that it is what it is so my camel picture with the pyramids feel free to use it create a commons license it was taken by my cell phone handed it to one of the bedouin to take the picture but it's my cell phone i own that picture and the picture of me with the falcon that was taken by a camel herder but it was my cell phone and i own that picture so so there you go those are completely creative common license you guys can do whatever you want to do with them you can nft them all these things and hopefully that resolves this issue and those pictures can get uploaded as a as a profile picture but if they don't it only further elaborates the need for innovation and shows you the consequences of monopolistic practices and network effects that inhibit the ability for the free sharing of information all right thanks everybody until next time cheers
