Update on Mary

hi this is charles hoskinson broadcasting live from warm sunny colorado always warm always sunny sometimes colorado just a brief update on a few things we have mary hartford coming the hfc event and as we're getting close to wire i want to give you guys some dates date state states so tentatively it looks the hsc is going to clear all the qa and all of the the dev stuff on february 24th so if you're following that epic then hfc will take place march 1st so you have to trigger it the prior epic takes five days and then the next on the first it will turn on all you have to do is just upgrade your your node so just download the latest version of daedalus and it'll have it we've been testing it for almost a month on the test that looks good exchanges are happy we've done a huge qa set so rockets on the pad looks it's going to take off on schedule the alternative date would obviously be march 1st if we missed the february 24th window because you have to do the hfc event five days beforehand flight will be the first version of daedalus to have the native multi-asset interface and our hope is get that out on daedalus flight first week of march and then we'd like to do two-week burn in with daedalus before we bring it to daedalus mainnet the primary version of daedalus so expect to see that sometime in mid-march and it's cool it's multi-asset we're going to invite some of the asset issuers to the cardinal 360 show i think we're hosting that show around the 25th and we'd like people talk about their experience with the mint network back last year as well as what they've done with the testnet we'll also be doing some demos and tutorials to show you guys how to issue your own assets and interact with those assets and so forth so all that's coming next week and i hope it's a lot of fun for you and the coming few weeks there's going to be a lot of upgrades and as with every hard fork combinator event there's a lot of testing goes into it but we kind of pre-built an upgrade path and so it's very easy for you guys just download new client don't have to do anything else don't have to move your tokens don't have to upgrade tokens there's none of that stuff you just just download new client that's the magic of the hfc how about that so i just figured i'd give you guys some dates and our primary date is to 24th an alternative date would be march 1st for initiation of the hfc rocket will be on the pad soon and if the weather is good we should have the hfc take place march 1st if the weather is bad probably be the following week because there's five day windows for these things as i mentioned another thing we're going to announce in the coming weeks is the plutus pioneers so we had the stake pool pioneers we'd like to get some pluto pioneers of people who would like to test the very first plutus test net that we're turning on soon and actually write pluto's code so if you've been studying plutus if you're a haskell developer if you're a functional programmer who'd like to learn a little bit about plutus let us know and we'll see what we can do and we might even set up some form of a boot camp with lars for people who are programmers who have some experience in the functional realm and would like to learn a little bit about pollutus to get started on the alphanet which will quickly turn into the beta net which will quickly turn into mainnet just how quickly we can go through that process and tune some things a lot of tuning needs to happen especially the resource model so if you're interested in that we'll make an announcement if not at cardinal 360 with a specific outlay a blog post or something and there'll be some form of sign up form where you can kind of talk about who you are what you've done and we'd love to go and get some pluto's pioneers to help write applications on the pluto side upgrades are coming for the devnets as well we'll announce that a little later a lot of stuff on the evm devnet a lot of stuff on the yellow side of things rvs killing it they're doing a good job and a lot to say later about alpha frontier but that's for march and this is about mary right now and after mary will care about alonso alonzo's plutus so if you just got in 24th that's when the hfc should be triggered fallback date is march 1st rocket's soon going to be on the pad takes five days to hit orbit hfc is triggered all you got to do is download a client and then flight will come out first hopefully first week of march we'll burn it in for two weeks if we like everything we see congratulations daedalus is now a multi-asset wallet for the first time project history that makes me pretty damn happy all right everyone try to keep these brief cheers
