Fan Mail

hi everyone this is charles hoskinson broadcasting live from warm sunny colorado just back on real quickly because there's some fan mail that i got in the office and i kind of wanted to read it off first piece of fan mail it comes from a lawyer based in north carolina his name is jason morton and i'll just read the letter it's pretty cool one and i have messaged straight to you jason it says dear charles i hope this letter and its enclosures finds you well you and iohk well first let me see how much i believe in the cardinal project and its vision i admire you your company and your team very much i consider you the best in the crypto space second i want to share my vision of my own i recently watched one of your amas when you asked whether you were involved in cardona to quote make money and quote you responded with a resounding quote no not in the least end quote rather you explained your involvement simply because you believe in what cardano sought to achieve and what it will offer billions of people i respect that answer and share the same sentiment i purchased cardano for the same reasons as a tax attorney i'm writing to share my vision and beliefs concerning current irs crypto tax enforcement policy i wanted to share your letter i wrote share a letter with you i wrote recently to each member of congress on the congressional blockchain caucus i also included other supplemental materials i provided to them i hope you and ihk will support my initiative my efforts may be lost but that does not deter me because you it is something i believe in all the best to you and your team if you your pr team would like to discuss it further i could of course be reached at and gave some contact information well jason we don't have a lobbying arm but we are thinking about creating one however i do know some very nice people to forward this too so i'm going to send your materials to tyler lindholm tyler was a state legislator in the state of wyoming and he was one of the guys responsible for getting it done getting the crypto laws done and now he's policy director for senator cynthia loomis one of the senators from the state of wyoming so i think this is something that we probably can get to senator loomis and hopefully it is as meaningful to her as it is to you and we can get some policy changes the other thing i'll do is i'll send it over to jerry britto who runs a lobbying group called coin center which has been one of the longest and most effective policy groups in the cryptocurrency space looking at your ideas and the materials you sent me i think they are quite compatible okay and the other piece of fan mail this one was hand written and for obvious reasons which shall become apparent in no time it says dear ioh k my name is justin and i'll invent the last name because of the nature of the letter and i am an early purchaser in cardano i am currently incarcerated and have minimum access to information that i so desperately seek aside from the almost daily calls home to my mother and or girlfriend to recite the coin market cap prices there is no other means for me to stay up to date on the ongoing progress of cardano ideally a printed underlined printed printed weekly or monthly progress report slash news report would be perfect but at this point any information would be very appreciated i understand that getting information printed mailed is an archaic means to distribute information but please if there is any way to get me some information or data mailed i will be forever grateful my address is below and yes i'll be coming home soon enough sincerely justin justin you bring up a valid point and that is that we probably should do some sort of monthly newsletter that is written that's kind of a summary of the entire industry and what's going on with cardano and of course if such a thing exists as a pdf it could easily be printed and mailed so i will discuss this internally and hopefully we can brainstorm some ideas but i actually feel this is a perfect thing for catalyst you'll remember that we pushed for podcasts not too long ago and we've gotten a lot of great community podcasts from that surge it'd be really cool if somebody can do a cardano newsletter and every month summarize all the happenings that come from us emergo the foundation the space as a whole and other such things and distributed as a subscription or pdf for people to to connect to and if you do that i commit to printing it out and having it mailed to justin okay and justin i hope you get well soon and get out soon and sorry to hear you're going through a hard time there it's tough for a lot of people over one percent of the american population is incarcerated and i think about three percent have been incarcerated at some point during their lifetime that's an indication of not an immoral and unethical society rather it's an indication of an unjust society because a large quantity of the people who are incarcerated are incarcerated for non-violent crimes which ought not to have been crimes and i'm a big fan of restorative justice and i'm glad to see that we have reach beyond just the internet it goes pretty much everywhere so thank you justin thank you jason and keep sending your fan mail i really enjoy it i read it it always gets to me at some point might take a month or two and i get so many great ideas from this community and you guys are awesome i'm going to go home and you all have a wonderful day cheers
