gift and i just wanted to show everybody from time to time people in the community send me things and every now and then they send me something pretty special so let me show you the lobster charles so it says whenever i feel salty i take my lobster for a walk this is a snowpunk cnft community you can see snowman charles with with his lobster that's pretty cool isn't it and it has an accompanied note now i'm to read it off for you right now dear mr hoskinson we'd like to present you with this legendary snowpunk named snowkinson on behalf of the snowpunks cnft community we decided as a community what to do with the snow punk that you inspired likewise we unanimously agreed that you should have it along with this letter you'll find a wallet containing both a digital and a physical 3d printed model of this snow punk just a small token of our collective appreciation for your unwavering commitment to progress and innovation our community is committed to assisting in the resolution of the ever increasing problems caused by global climate change with this goal in mind the cardinal blockchain was an obvious choice for us when deciding which nft space to build on cardano's community as a whole is quite unique it is teeming with believers as individuals and societies we can and must do better the snowpunks community is inspired by this spirit of deliberate and thought out action combined with the hope for a better future we would be grateful if you accept our token of appreciation we mounted the 3d model on a statue holder with the inscription whenever i feel salty i take my lobster for a walk we hope this gift serves as a reminder of all your achievements and victories thus far as well as the many more to come let it also serve as a reminder to never take ourselves too seriously and to recognize when we're losing touch with reality to simply smile and walk that lobster thank you for everything you do and are striving to be our project continues to grow and achieve community thanks you and is glad to be part of this journey kind regards the snowpunks community it's a really nice letter that they that they sent part of my job in community and ecosystem that i enjoy the most is when i get to interact with all of you and so many of you have sent me things throughout the years whether it be that wood carving right there behind of me or paintings or various different things but this this is pretty special i've never been sent a lobster walking snowman of myself but it's just a testimony to the quality of the community that we have and the diversity of it and how much they really care and how inspired they are we've been under a pretty hard assault for a long time me personally lately i've been under a pretty heart assault from people who are outside of the ecosystem and in particular some of those people like to say that we're toxic or a bad ecosystem and it just blows my mind because i see nothing but good people who are trying to solve hard problems people who don't take themselves too seriously people from all across the world all levels of education all levels of the socioeconomic status and we're unified in the fact that we believe that we all can collectively do better part of not taking it too seriously is is also an acknowledgement that no matter who you are tomorrow is an opportunity to do something different something unique something special and the technology of cardano ever evolves people say how will you catch up or how will you get this capability and if you don't have it by this date aren't you worried that everybody's going to go away i i'm willing to take a guess the people who made this they're here for a long time and the reason they're here is they just enjoy the culture they enjoy the vision the mission and collectively working together we're going to get all done and it really does mean the world to me when people send me these types of things and inspires me and it adds a lot of hope and it just also reminds me how many of you are around and how different you all are some people are very serious other people they're just batshit crazy and that's okay it takes a big tent in order for us to change the world but we're doing it together so thank you snowpunks for this it it's pretty special i i gotta find a place now to to put it maybe i'll take it home maybe i'll do something who knows certainly take it home today but i'll probably take it back to the office and thank you all of you who continue every single day to tireless tirelessly build things on cardano and to make it better in the coming months i think our industry is going to finally come to terms with the fact that they deeply miscalculated there's a lot of people out there who have written cardano off and they think that our best days are behind us and we are flash in the pan the reality is cardano is open for business and we're going to make that abundantly clear as an ecosystem and we're also going to make it clear that business is pretty good and it's only going to get better technology every day gets better throughput every day gets better the design of the system there was a lot of foresight in it there was a lot of wisdom in it that will become apparent very soon and there's a lot of magic that has yet to be revealed that is going to be exciting to reveal for me i got on this train because i told you guys what i was going to do my ted talk back in 2014 in october i walked out there and said this is why crypto was built this is the point of it as far as i could tell thing that matters but what's so special is that this is an open protocol an open ecosystem meaning my particular use is just a single voice and a course and for others they're trying to solve climate change in creative ways some of you are trying to bring democracy to places doesn't have it some of you trying to figure out a way to create jobs some people trying to make money some people trying to just innovate and create build beautiful things but we're all together in one big extended family so on behalf of that extended family thank you and it's good to have all of you here until next time i'll see you guys later cheers
